Hi there, I’m David (he/him)
“If we can share our story with someone who responds with empathy and understanding, shame can’t survive.”
- Brené Brown
Credentials:
I am a registered Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
I am a 200 Hour Yoga Teacher.
I am humbled to work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, LGBTQ+ related challenges, trauma, relationship challenges, stress, and worry. Regardless of what led you here, many of my clients seek counselling as a result of being fed up with the way things are.
Together we will work to uncover why you feel the way you do, develop tangible strategies to work with rather than against your emotions, and spend time expressing them in ways that will work for you long term.
I hold a Master of Counselling degree from the University of Calgary. I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Adler University.
I identify within the LGBTQ+ community and welcome diverse clients of all ages, cultures, genders, sexual orientations and abilities.
In my spare time, I love to get outdoors! One of my favourite activities is to go backcountry camping, which involves two of my favourite activities- hiking and camping! I am also an avid lover of movies, boardgames, and good conversations with family and friends.
I acknowledge the territory I live and work on as the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem First Nation).
